My favorite Salad!

I didn't mention this in the last blog, but I am obsessed with all different types of music, so with every restaurant, I will associate with a song.

Restaurant #1- Claim Jumper
Location: Central Tucson (3671 E Broadway Blvd)
Other locations: California, Washington, Illinois, Nevada and Colorado

Cuisine: American
Theme: Gold Rush (western/ranch). As the name implies, a claim jumper is an individual who illegally claims land.

Price: Moderate (entrees between $12.00 - $26.00)
Happy Hour: Drinks and Appetizers

Parking: Easy
Cleanliness: Very Clean

Service and Staff: Youthful, knowledgeable and friendly.
Seating: Cozy. To the left of the waiting area there is a grand room with a huge fireplace in0 the center. To the right of the waiting room, there is a bar and outdoor/indoor patio. Very spacious and has the ability to hold large parties comfortably.
Bathrooms: Are clean with an upscale, early 1900's feel. The floor is to die for.......

Most popular item: The Killer, over indulgent "Mother Load" chocolate cake, that consists of rich chocolaty cake, mixed with chocolate morsels and stacked six layers high, with creamy milk chocolate frosting and walnuts drizzled down the side of this tower of terror. Any chocolate lovers dream!
The opposite side of the spectrum,
my favorite dish is the Cobb salad. One of the best Cobb salads in Tucson, even the small is twice the size of a regular salad. The salad has hard boiled eggs, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, tomatoes, avocado and grilled chicken. This salad comes with the danish bleu cheese dressing; however I enjoy this salad with Caesar or Italian dressing.

Other Favorites: Alfredo sauce is creamy and sinfully rich and the ribs are decent.

Song: "Home on the Range"
Stars: 3.75 stars

Last Words: Looking for a great salad and a cozy, family orientated atmosphere... go to Claim Jumper. It's a far cry from your average Sizzler!!!

Intro.

Hi, my name is Tricia and I am currently unemployed, like a large percentage of the United States. During this time it has allowed me to stop and think where I would like to go and what I would like to do with the rest of my life. I have always enjoyed cooking and of course food. Constantly yearning for a restaurant or bar with the perfect food, service and atmosphere.
With a little friends, some family and a sprinkle of love and soul, I will take this journey to find some of the best restaurants, bars, lounges and hot spots in Tucson. Whether you are a local, snowbird or an avid traveler, whether you're rich or poor, whether you like it spicy or sweet, cooked or raw, I will critique restaurants and bars all around Tucson using a 5 star scoring system (1 being the worse and 5 the best).
My critiques will bare all and hide nothing! From the time I pull in the parking lot to the time I leave, the whole experience will be captured through my blog. So come along and you too can go to the same restaurants as me and share your comments on my blog.
